In the meeting attended by deputy governors of central banks of Iran and Russia, senior directors of selected banks from both countries, and Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali various issues were discussed.
Integration of financial messaging systems of central banks with the intention of maximizing the use of national currencies in settlements, brokerage cooperation, funding small and medium companies, students and tourists, and expansion of brokerage cooperation at the level Eurasian countries were among the issues.
Iran and Russia also signed a cooperation road map on banking and finance for the year 2022.
In the sidelines, Iranian economic activists in Russia had a meeting with the delegation of Central Bank of Iran (CBI), where they raised the problems in financial activities and settlements, pricing of Iran and Russia currencies, and customs and administrative issues.
Ambassador Jalali underlined that the raised issues would be pursued as a priority to be solved.
